1 What new information did you gain from today's lab on blogs?

I learned that not only are libraries keeping the blog user informed about the different types of books the library has to offer. They are also keeping the user informed of different events that the library is hosting.

2. Out of the 5 blogs you looked at in Activity 2, which one(s) did you prefer?

Mohawk College Library Brain Blog for Students

Why? What was of interest to you on it?

I preferred this blog because it kept the user informed about the different type of technologies the library was trying out, it had great educational tips for the students, and the blog really seemed to care about the opinions of its users.

3 In your own words, discuss the ways in which you think using a blog in libraries could be useful to patrons.

Blogs open up a whole new world for the libraries patrons. 

  They inform the users about new books that have come in, they keep the user informed about different events that the library is hosting and it’s a new way for the users to express their opinions whit the libraries staff and other patrons.
